Changeworks is one of Scotland’s largest environmental charities – a thriving social enterprise with 30 years’ experience in sustainability. We work with organisations, communities and individuals to deliver practical solutions that reduce carbon emissions, fuel poverty and waste. We are an organisation that makes a difference.

We are currently looking to appoint two additional Board Members to complement and strengthen our existing Board. As a Board member you will be a Trustee and non-executive director of Changeworks.

We are looking for committed individuals of exceptional calibre who will bring their professional skills and expertise to help Changeworks achieve its mission and fulfil its growth potential. We are keen to hear from people from a variety of backgrounds but currently we are keen to strengthen the Board’s collective expertise in commercial management, digital transformation and behaviour change.

Being a Board Member is a rewarding role. Our Board is responsible for ensuring the governance, clear strategic direction and oversight of the financial and operational performance of the organisation. With successful, commercial trading subsidies we have the opportunity to invest in our future.

Meeting quarterly, usually in Edinburgh during normal working hours, Trustees ensure Changeworks delivers on our charitable objectives. Time commitment is approximately six days per annum.

Changeworks works with organisations, communities and individuals to deliver practical solutions that reduce carbon emissions, fuel poverty and waste. Integrity, innovation, empowerment, collaboration are the passion are the values which drive us. We are proud of the expertise and enthusiasm of our people – over 200 employees and volunteers in Edinburgh, Inverness, Shetland, Orkney, the Western Isles and Argyll.

If you are committed to tackling climate change, share our ambition and values and are up for the challenge, you can download the job information pack or email and apply by submitting your CV and cover letter.
