ELCAP – Board Member
ELCAP is a not for profit organisation delivering top quality services to people with learning, and other, disabilities. We are a values driven, award winning charity, proud of our accolades as an employer of “excellence” assessed by the Care Inspectorate; awarded Platinum by Investors in People; and Recognised for Excellence – 3 Stars, by EFQM.
We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and ambitious voluntary Board members at this exciting stage in our development to help shape the next part of ELCAP’s journey. The vacancies have arisen following the completion of the terms of office of some of our long service Board members.
We are looking for a diverse and experienced range of Board members to ensure that we have the knowledge and skills we need to help set the strategic direction of ELCAP. To complement the skills of our existing Board members we are now looking for people in the following areas:
• Corporate Governance/Strategy
• Marketing and Public Relations
• Human Resources
We would especially welcome individuals with experience as a carer – as a parent, partner, sibling or with other family connections.
Board members can expect:
• Up to four Board meetings a year in East Lothian (normally held early evening);
• Two Away Days per year (normally held on a Saturday);
• Induction, learning more about our sector and an opportunity to network both internally and externally.
The role of a Board member is voluntary and unpaid other than reimbursement of approved travel costs or associated expenses.
If you share our passion for delivering the best quality of care and think you could help shape our strategic direction, why not apply to join us? To learn more about ELCAP, please visit our website: www.ELCAP.org
