Better Directors, Better Business and a Better Economy

Hansel – NXD’s and Committee Members

Hansel is a leading social care provider and not for profit organisation offering a range of services to people living with disabilities. Since our beginnings over 50 years ago we have been at the forefront of innovation in developing supports for adults with learning disabilities and/or living with autism.
From our Directors and management to our front line team members and the people who use our services we share a common vision: we are working together, building a successful future.

We are pleased to offer a range of non-executive director and committee member appointments for individuals who can add real value to the continuing development of our service operations and other charitable initiatives.

We are particularly interested in people with significant experience, understanding and/or strong networks within:
• Social care • Employment and employability
• Social enterprise • Entrepreneurship
• Finance • Communications
• Fundraising • Corporate governance

We would especially welcome individuals with experience as a carer; as a parent, sibling or with other family connections. The role of a Board or Co-opted Committee member is voluntary and unpaid other than reimbursement of approved travel costs or associated expenses.

Additional information can be found on our website, at www.hansel.org.uk.

To receive an information pack or have an informal chat about the opportunity to join our non-executive team please contact Gerry Lindsay, Managing Director, on 01563 830340 or at gerry.lindsay@hansel.org.uk. If you wish to apply for board/committee membership please send, marked private and confidential, your CV and supporting statement explaining your interest in our board/committee opportunities and what you can bring to the charity, to Tom McClements, Chairman, Hansel Foundation, Broadmeadows, Symington, KA1 5PU, or to chair@hansel.org.uk.
