Thera Group -Non Executive Directors
Do you believe that people with a learning disability can be leaders in society? We do – and we are looking for inspirational people to help us achieve our vision.
Who are we?
Thera Group is a group of companies led by the charity Thera Trust. We support people with a learning disability at home, in the community and for short breaks.
We are a unique organisation because we employ people with a learning disability at director level.
Currently, 40% of our directors have a learning disability and use their lived experience to make sure we are focused on providing the best quality support.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for people who are interested in helping us to shape our organisation. We are looking for someone to help us succeed in our vision.
You will be an ambassador for the people we support and help us to make important decisions about the running of the organisation.
You must believe in our vision and want to make a difference with both your heart and your head. You may have a legal or business background or have experience in the public or third sector.
You may also be someone who has a learning disability and want to share your experience to develop the organisation.
Board or committee experience is desirable. Evidence of effectiveness in your chosen field or interest is essential.
