Tigh a’Chomainn – Trustees

Tigh a’Chomainn is an urban community supporting individuals to develop their independence within a community setting. They aim to assist adults with special needs to explore their personal potential so that they may find purpose, direction and a sense of fulfilment in their lives. The community provides a stable home setting, enabling people to build life skills through the development of personal responsibility and to lead a valued life and to contribute to the wider community. Their community provides accommodation for seven permanent residents and one respite place in two residential houses. It is a small, highly-regarded and well-led organisation which is part of the worldwide Camphill Movement which is built on mutual responsibility, trust and friendship.

They are looking for two exceptional individuals to serve as Trustees on their Board of Directors to provide strength and depth to the organisational development and/or financial strategy and control aspects of the charity, including audit and risk management. Candidates should have the following essential skills and experience:

• Business development
• Financial management, planning and audit
• National and local social policy
• Charity governance
• Contracts

This is a volunteer unpaid position.
